Daai Chin
The Daai are different ethnic tribe of Chin, Myanmar. In particular, the Daai women used to wear short woven skirt.In the fact that their traditional dress and their face tattoos are totally different. The Daai ethnic group is the 32 Chin tribes, which have been registered by the Government of Burma since 1890. The recent Military Regime’s census mentions the Daai tribe as the 62nd of 135 tribes of Burma. Researchers refer to them as Daai group in the ethnic survey book of Burma.The book written by Rigby, not as format book but as a diary of his journey, records the most primitive life-style of the Southern Chins, in which many Daai villages and populations are mentioned systematically, as British always do. The words Yindu and Daai are interchangeably used in that book.The Daai Chin appear to be of Mongolian, Indo-Chinese, and Tibeto-Burman descent as the other Chin tribes do. The Daai people live in the Mindat, Paletwa, Matupi and Kanpetlet townships of the Southern Chin State, Burma. There are more than 180 Daai villages with a total population of somewhere between 60,000 and 90,000. Their population makes the Daai-Chin the majority tribe in the Southern Chin Hills.

The Daai land was an independent country until the British expedition in 1890, and later annexation in 1897 by the United Kingdom. The Daai language varies slightly between subtribes. Their ethnic tribes symbol is khuum (rocket tail drongo). The ling leih (''Bulbophyllum refractum'', one of orchid species) is their royal flower. Traditionally Daai women wear short woven skirt and different face tattoos from othe. Guuk Booi is the main dish of Daai people. 99% of Daai people are Christians. They live in the mountain ranges of their own Daai land, Chin state, Myanmar. The different names are Daai and Daai Chin people are same kinds of tribes Chin.
Correction and edition
In some point the author's presentation and quotation are wrong -e.g.- in the case of Yindu Or daa.In fact there was no legal printing record or authentic data in history concerning the people named Daai daa etc.. in the western side of mhoo or moong stearm until military regime got the power,(ca1962)but ancient historical books testify that YinDu or Daa and Daai or daai interchangeable name in (so called Daai or daai area by now). This true fact can be found in two sources (1) Myanmar (formerly Burmese)racial record. (2) Its neighbouring people Bamar. The bad tactic of junta and according to divide in rule, central government divide Daai and Yindu Daa.The differentiation of Daai and Yindu was started (ca 1975) then it's prevailing and came into dominance widely after 1988.
